Turris inclinata

Turris inclinata (Italiane: Torre pendente di Pisa sive Torre di Pisa) est campanarium ad cathedram urbe Pisis, in orbi terrarum nota pro indicta inclinatione sua alio latere. Situs est post cathedram, et tertia structura veterrima in Pisarum Platea Miraculi (Italiane: Piazza del Duomo) est post cathedram baptisteriumque. Incepta inclinatio turris per constructionem; cuius causa est fundationis mancae in terra molli unius lateris ad totum adiuvandum aedificium gravitatis. Inclinatio per decennia augebat antequam aedificium perfectum est, et amplius augebat (et inclinatio partim correcta est) ab operibus sero saeculo 20 maturoque saeculo 21.

Longitudo turris 55,86 metra e terra lateris humilis est atque 56,70 metra lateris alti. Gravitate sua aestimata est in 14,500 tonnae. Turris habet 296 sive 294 gradus. Diaeta septima gradus duos minores habet in septentrionalibus scalariis.

Very busy site with the historic tower. If you want to go up pre-book online for a 30 minute slot (I didn't book in the end!). Just nice to see the tower and other buildings here!

The tower began leaning after just 2 floors were built, but 100 years later they carried on building another 8 floors. And even though it could be corrected, they decided not to as its lean is famous.
